We are very happy to be providing the catering for what looks like a fantastic event!
On Sunday 2 April, Falkirk Fire Station will host its first ever Bikers' Road Safety Workshop between 10am and 3pm, with the support of Police Scotland and the Institute of Advanced Motorists RoadSmart (IAM RoadSmart).
The event, which is FREE of charge, aims to equip motorcyclists with potentially life-saving skills including CPR and general first aid.
Also included will be a series of live demonstrations where firefighters will show how they safely extract casualties trapped within a vehicle with the use of hydraulic cutting equipment.
Watch Manager Robert Thomson explained “One of the objectives of this workshop is to give bikers an insight into what it’s like at the scene of an incident and what steps can be taken to prevent them becoming tragedies. I want as many bikers as possible to come along to this event to have a chat with us and learn new skills that may ultimately save a life.”
Firefighters will be on hand to talk with motorcyclists who turn up on the day.
As an added incentive, the station will provide free tea and breakfast roll to participants as part of a special ‘Bikers’ Brunch’, which is being kindly supported by local family butcher, Malcolm Allan, and Tesco.
Our picture shows Office Manager Margaret McDonald handing over the 'Bikers Brunch' donated by Malcolm Allan to Watch Manager Robert Thomson and P&P Station Manager Nicky Barr
We are happy to help guys - have a great day!!😃
