Falkirk were presented with a special Best Local supplier Award to the meat category to celebrate 20 years of supplying ASDA.The firm started supplying ASDA with one line, in one store and now supply all Scottish stores with 30 lines over three categories. Gordon Allan said "We are over the moon to receive this award. "The ASDA model of letting small suppliers progress in their stores at a rate that they are comfortable with has let us expand at a sustainable rate". This in turn has let us provide good availability and service levels which as well as having good product lines which generate repeat sales are a vital part of dealing with a huge firm like ASDA. Over the years ourselves and our workforce have worked hard to grow our business with ASDA but could not have done it without the help from ASDA colleagues at all levels. It was a good week for Malcolm Allan as they also won another award for employment and retention of staff with learning difficulties and Malcolm Allan now progress to the national final.
